Wherever you are, you'll encounter coffee shops
Ever since I came to Seattle, well technically it's still month and a half
I have been trying out new coffee shops literally everyday.
This means I am spending minimum $3~ for
coffee shops but it's worth it. Besides, I was gonna try out
every coffee shops. It's part of my reason why I chose this
espresso represent city. Apparently Seattle is famous with 3 Vs
Espresso Vivace, Cafe Vita, Victrola coffee
without even telling, you can tell that i've been there already
but for people who's planning to visit in a limited of time
I think it's little hard to substitute your 3 meals with coffee...
so here's my must go espresso shop
シアトルに来てから1ヶ月半の間、色んなコーヒーショップや
至る所でコーヒーを日々比較
日本よりかは値段は安いといえども最低8ozで$3〜くらい
(たまにtipをとる場所もあるけど)
シアトルを留学の場所に選んだのもこれが多少は影響しているから
これからも色んなところを試して行くつもり
シアトルで有名な3VといえばEspresso Vivace, Cafe Vita, Victrola Coffee
もちろんどこも試したのだけど私的にはEspresso Vivaceが1番
クリーミーで好きだったかな
店舗もたくさんあるから目的に合わせて選べるのも魅力ね
シアトルのエスプレッソはダークロースト
一番小さなサイズを頼んでもdouble espressoで来るお店もある
だから日本のBe a good neighbor,Streamer coffee,Bear Pondなど
東京で続々と増えて来ているthird wave系のcoffee shopの
ラテを多く使ったミルキーなカプチーノはこちらだとなかなか巡り会わないかも
さて、これからシアトルに訪れる予定の方のために
短時間で回れてどれも身近にある
おすすめのcoffee屋さんを教えます
でも私もまだ開拓途中なので
至らない点も多々あると思うけど、そこはご理解よろしくお願いします
1. Espresso Vivace at Alley 24
Established in 1988
Velvet,creamy and pure texture
it's not as bitter as other coffee shops
2. Ugly Mug Cafe
It's close to UW, so if you ever come to UW
you should definitely drop by
unlike their name "Ugly Mug Cafe", the coffee is very good!
it's not Seattle ish espresso but you'll love it for sure
it comes with beautiful latte art
3.Storyville coffee
It's locating at heart of Seattle
Pike Place Market
unlike outside, it's very calm and sophisticated inside
I love everything about this place
coffee is very nice and their salted caramel roll is amazing!
4. Uptown Espresso
They have the best thick creamy foam
I suggest you to go to one in Queen Anne's
because you can see iconic Space Needle view infront
it's priceless
5. Monorail Espresso
Iconic espresso to go only shop
locating next to Banana&Republic at Downtown
It's founded as first espresso cart in Seattle
worth stop to have a classic Seattle espresso
you can feel their bitterness as soon as you sip it
This place accept cash only so be careful with that!
6. Sound and Morsel
The staff here seems very nice and casual friendly
atmosphere was amazing too!
They were hanging out many
without saying, the coffee is SO good
apparently the biscuit is famous, so better try them next time
